Literature Text

The people are crying out,
The innocent exposed,
The peoples "hearts" have no doubt,
The boys bodies left to decompose,
Where have the American rights gone for them?

Two bombs exploded,
BOOM....BOOM.
Their motives yet to be decoded,
Their religion assumed.
They are condemned.

A blown out building on the street,
Two boys found carrying bags.
The brother will will be tortured and beat,
Over there on the ground lay the flags.
Interrogations goes on well after 10 pm.

The people want someone to blame,
The government searched in vain.
The people will accept any given name,
The media and government kept some facts contained.
In the night cries out their Pa and Mam.

Could the true bombers not have been more sly?
Could the bombs not have been pre-placed?
Perhaps they were not even nearby,
Maybe the blame has been misplaced?
The people cry, "There was a bomb".
So this is for a scholarship contest. This is the full version, which is 5 lines too long for the contest, so for that I had to take out the first stanza, and take out the concept of stanzas altogether -_- mehhhh. So my personal political views pour outta this one, and this was the first poem I think i've written in almost a year O_O
